Sometimes it can be difficult to determine if an animal is too sick to treat medically. Some things to consider when deciding whether to treat or euthanize an animal that is injured, extremely weak, old, or disabled are:
- Is the animal in pain or distress?
- Is the animal likely to recover?
- Does the animal have the ability to obtain feed and water?
You should contact us so we can determine together if your animal can potentially be treated or if euthanasia is the best option.
If we decide that humane euthanasia is necessary, then you have a few option for disposal of remains. You can bury them on your property or we can have a cremation company come out to pick up your animal.
